Photovoltaic project developer CCEN becomes main sponsor of LSB Lecce for the championship of the series C silver as well as for all sporting and, above all, social activities organized by the club. The basketball club, with its initiative “Noisiamo1” (“Weare1”), is particularly committed to the inclusion of children and young people in the sport of basketball.

Bolzano / Lecce May 30, 2022.- The basketball club “La scuola di basket Lecce Associazione Sportiva Dilettantistica”, based in Lecce, is not only active in mini-basketball and championship series C. Its focus is especially on initiatives to promote inclusion in the sport of basketball. This was one of the reasons for CCEN to become the main sponsor for the 2022 season at one of its headquarters.

Sandro Esposito, General Manager CCEN Italy, explains his motivation: “When I was approached to support the development of this initiative in Lecce, I had no doubt that social work combined with sports makes a perfect match with our green economy sector. After all, social engagement fits perfectly with our corporate goal of promoting the development of a cleaner and friendlier planet for all. So it was love at first sight between CCEN and LSB Lecce.”

The sponsorship includes, in addition to the branded official jerseys, the renaming of the team to “CCEN LSB Lecce” and maximum visibility of the sponsor especially in the events that pursue social inclusion through sports. In addition to regional tournaments in Lecce, this includes a Baskin summer camp that will be held at the “Villaggio Lamaforca” in Carovigno (BR) from July 10 to 24, 2022.

Baskin is a new sport inspired by basketball that allows active participation of any person without distinction of gender, age, technical skills, skin color and physical abilities. Non-disabled people play together with disabled people with physical and mental disabilities in one team – a sporting proof of successful inclusion.

This sponsorship at one of CCEN’s sites fits in perfectly with the “CCE Care” initiative of CCE Holding, to which CCEN belongs. This initiative was launched in order to engage in social and societal responsibility, especially at the holding’s worldwide locations. CCE Holding aims to actively shape the energy transition as a fully integrated Independent Power Producer (IPP).
